Revelation Chapter 6 The First Seal VERSE 1 and 2 “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see. And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.” Here we present the alternative view, one held by many…
Revelation Chapter 6 The First Seal The Southern Wisconsin class; (Revelation Notes Southern Wisconsin) who hold to the second view as to the meaning of the horsemen have this to say in regards to the seals: “The seals, as well as the trumpets, are in a pattern of four, two, and one. The opening of the first four seals, are introduced by each of the four living creatures, in turn. Each one of the four creatures reveals a different horseman,…
Will the ancient worthies be in relationship with God during the millennial age? “Yes, the ancient worthies will be in covenant relationship with God through the New Covenant, through the Mediator of the New Covenant, throughout the millennial age; but they will not be in any personal, direct relationship with God until the end of the millennial age. All those who receive the blessings of the millennial kingdom must obtain them through the great Mediator, and through the New Covenant…
Several interesting question concerning the Ancient Worthies were asked of the Pastor and I believe might prove beneficial to all. Were the Ancient Worthies on trial for life? “The Ancient Worthies were not on trial for life or death; they were never brought to that condition of intelligent opportunity for eternal life which would make them amenable to a sentence of death. Such a condition of knowledge and opportunity did not exist in the world until our Lord came. “Grace…
Now from our previous post we understand that the nation of Israel is to be God’s specially chosen agency through whom the rest of the world may receive restituional blessings, but whom precisely will govern? Who will be the Lord’s earthly representatives, the ones speaking for the Lord? What kind of government will it be? Possibly sometime during or shortly following the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” and AFTER the establishment of the kingdom (the spiritual phase of the kingdom) we…
Revelation Chapter 6 The First Seal As a further support of the first view note the following excerpts taken from Brother Levi Jacobs discourse entitled, “Opening of the Seven Seals. “And I saw, and behold a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” What is the significance of this dramatic picture? Horses, in the Scriptures, represent doctrines, a white horse, in…
Revelation Chapter 6 The First Seal VERSE 1 “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” The LAMB (Jesus) breaks the First Seal. The breaking of the Seals is representative of revealing the major prophetic tendencies of each of the periods. ONE OF THE FOUR LIVING ONES: It seems important in the series of the first four Seals that…
How exactly will the other nations who survived Armageddon receive the same blessing as the “holy remnant” of Israel is receiving? “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘IN THOSE DAYS (when the earthly phase of the kingdom is established) ten men (representing all other nations of the earth that will gather about Israel at that time) from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man (in other words in the restitution work, fleshly Israel shall…
As you recall in Part 6 of our study it was suggested that: “Restitution blessings (the restoring of all things, Acts 3:19-21) will begin with the generation living at the time of the inauguration of the Mediator’s Kingdom. Who specifically will these consist of? This would encompass all who survived Armageddon, BEGINNING FIRST with the “holy remnant” of Israel. As we read: “At that time Michael shall stand up (assume control), the great prince who stands watch over the sons…
Revelation Chapter 6 As was stated in our previous post there are two views held by the brethren as to the meaning of the four horsemen of the apocalypses specifically in regards to the first horse and rider. Here we present the two views and those who support them. The First Seal In support of the first view we note the following: As explained by Brother Anton C. Frey in his, Notes on the Revelation of Jesus Christ: “And I…
